I’ve spent more than 30 years working in and around real estate, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that real estate is about so much more than putting a sign in a yard or opening a door to show a house. I’ve worked in residential real estate, multifamily, property management, investment properties, rehabs, renovations and restoration. I’ve worked with owners, investors, buyers, sellers and tenants, and I’ve seen houses from just about every angle possible. That experience is a big part of how I work as a REALTOR® today. I don’t just walk through a house and tell you how pretty the kitchen is. I’m looking at the whole property. I’m paying attention to the things that could cost you money later, the things that may affect value, what makes sense and sometimes what simply doesn’t. I like to say I’m a Realtor who understands houses. But just as important as understanding the house is understanding the person standing in front of me. Everybody’s situation is different. Sometimes someone is excited about buying their first home. Sometimes they’re trying to sell and move into the next chapter of life. Sometimes they’re an investor looking strictly at the numbers. And sometimes life has happened and they just need somebody who will sit down, listen and help them figure out what their options really are. That’s where I believe I’m at my best. I’m not big on pressure, fancy sales pitches or telling people what they want to hear just to get a deal. I would much rather have an honest conversation, lay everything out on the table and help you make a decision you feel good about. And if I think something deserves a second look, I’m probably going to tell you. My experience also goes beyond my real estate license. My husband Paul and I own Top Notch Home Maintenance & Repair, so repairs, maintenance, make-readies and the actual condition of a property are part of my everyday world. I understand that what happens after you buy a house matters just as much as what happens before you buy it. At the end of the day, though, real estate is only part of who I am. I’m a wife, a mom, a Nana, a small-business owner and a woman whose faith and family are at the center of my life. I believe in working hard, doing what you say you’re going to do, treating people right and remembering that behind every contract is a real person and a real family making a pretty big decision. I serve Garland, Wylie, Sachse, Rowlett, Rockwall and communities throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area, but I’m not interested in simply being someone’s Realtor for one transaction.
