She and her best friend and partner Derek have been together for more than eight years and share a lively blended family with four kids ranging from teenagers to adulthood—two boys ages 15 and 18, a stepdaughter who is 20, and a stepson who is 30. Like many of her clients, she understands busy schedules, growing families, and the real-life transitions that often lead people to make a move.

One of the things Marya loves most about being a Denton TX Realtor is the variety. No two days are ever the same, and the career allows her the flexibility to stay deeply involved in her family’s life while helping other families create the same freedom in theirs.

When she’s not working with clients, Marya enjoys running local Denton trails, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She also loves furniture flipping, painting, and creating art. Before focusing fully on real estate, she owned a mid-list book publishing company, where she personally designed all of the book covers. Those books were distributed through major retailers like Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million, so if you spend enough time browsing used bookstores, there’s a good chance you might stumble across some of her artwork on the shelves.

At home, life is always lively thanks to six very spoiled cats who are convinced they run the household.

Marya is also passionate about helping people understand how real estate can be part of building long-term and generational wealth, and she enjoys educating clients on the bigger financial picture behind buying and selling homes.

She’s a firm believer that life should include a little fun and adventure. Her favorite foods are bacon and chocolate, and one day she hopes to travel to Germany to visit Heidelberg Castle—a place tied to family lore that says the Heidels once came from the area and may even own a tiny piece of the castle.
